💛 Kickin’ Cancer Recognition 💛 Marina is a senior at Coopersville who joined the Bronco family in the fall of 2024 after moving from Tennessee that summer. During her time here, she has been a part of the girls softball program and a valued member of our Bronco community. This year, Marina had to step away from the softball field to help support her family following her step-dad’s cancer diagnosis. Her step-dad, Mario Ferrari, an instructor at Grand Valley State University, was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma in the summer of 2025. The cancer has spread to his bones, and Mario currently undergoes monthly immunotherapy treatments to help keep the cancer at bay. On Monday, May 11 at 6:45 PM, we invite everyone to join the soccer team as we rally behind Mario, Marina, and their family. We want them to know they are not fighting alone — we are standing with them and playing for them. 💛
